My Personally History
I was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, and relocated to Bermuda at the age of four. When I turned 13, my parents made the brave decision to immigrate to Canada, seeking a brighter future for our family. I have two younger sisters, and we settled in East London, near East Park. I fondly recall navigating through bushes as a child to reach that park. Over the years, London has certainly transformed and expanded.
In 2000, I married and welcomed two beautiful daughters into my life. My family means everything to me, and I often earn the nickname "Mama Bear" because I would go to great lengths for them. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a loving family.
Our journey to where we are today is largely due to my husband’s relentless work ethic and motivation, which inspires me to strive for success as well. Life has not always been easy; we have faced numerous challenges and have worked tirelessly, sometimes juggling three to four jobs just to make ends meet. We have even built several homes together. Here are some neighborhoods I have called home:
- Pond Mills and Summerside
- East London near Fairmont
- North London (Stoney Creek)
- Nilestown/Dorchester
- Delaware
During those years, I held a full-time position at London Life while managing various jobs and raising my daughters on my own, as my husband was often busy with work. However, I made it a priority to dedicate Sundays to family time, ensuring we spent the entire day together.
After losing my job in 2017, I took the initiative to pursue a career that I would truly enjoy. With my daughters growing older, I found the flexibility to start showing properties. Even then, I worked part-time at a kitchen company and as a dietary aide at Middlesex Terrace.
Two years ago, I made the decision to fully commit to my real estate career, recognizing that this focus would allow me to achieve greater success and better serve my clients.
Traveling is a true passion of mine! My family and I cherish our adventures together, and I feel fortunate to have explored so many incredible destinations around the globe. Madeira Island holds a special place in my heart, captivating me year-round, while my home island dazzles in the summer sun. Additionally, I have a deep appreciation for mainland Portugal, from the scenic North to the beautiful Algarve in the South.
Another joy of mine is home decorating, especially with my younger daughter. Years ago, we embarked on a renovation journey in a townhouse, breathing new life into it by replacing outdated 80s carpets and transforming the kitchen and bathrooms into a chic modern farmhouse style. We also took on a remodeling project for a single-family home in the Kiwanis Park neighborhood.
I am always eager to engage in community initiatives and continuously learn to enhance my service to clients. Over the years, I have built a reliable network of professionals who I trust to assist with any home needs you may have.
